Qld: Young rugby player acquitted of pub crawl slashing
A jury has acquitted a rugby union player accused of slashing the neck of his teammate at an end-of-season pub crawl.
Former Brisbane West District Rugby union club player TY SHAUN TIERNEY was found notguilty of causing grievous bodily harm to MARK ANTHONY GILBANK after a two-day trial.
The Brisbane District Court jury deliberated for less than two hours over allegationsthe 21-year-old deliberately slashed GILBANK'S neck with a glass on September 3, 2001.
