UEFA president Michel Platini has taken a step toward making peace with Arsene Wenger, saying he was too critical of the Arsenal manager's preference for video replays in an interview he gave this week.
"I was too hard on Arsene," Platini told Thursday's edition of local newspaper Sud Ouest. "My dad (Aldo Platini) told me off. He was the one who gave him (Wenger) his break (at Nancy)."
In an interview published Monday, Platini had suggested that Wenger's support for replays was only business-motivated.
