Optisoft's latest practice management software has new remote printing services available via the Internet, which are said to cut the cost of sending patient recall letters by more than 50%. There is no minimum quantity requirement and the new service is said to offer some of the cheapest prices available at 25p for black and white, and 34p for a colour mailing.

Optisoft MD, Keith Sheers said: "Practices can use their own PC. A number of suppliers offer remote printing and they can bring substantial savings on post and remove administrative overheads. Optisoft Enterprise 7 has simplified the process with the addition of an export option in the recall system. Some estimate the cost of sending a letter to be 86p when taking into account staff time, postage and stationery."
